The Heights Technical College – Diesel Hydrant Pumpset

Project Overview

BKB Fire proudly delivered a custom-engineered diesel hydrant pump system for The Heights Technical College, a modern educational facility located in South Australia. Completed in 2025, the project included the supply and installation of a single enclosure hydrant unit designed to meet the safety and environmental needs of a learning environment.

Powered by a reliable Isuzu diesel engine, the system provides robust fire protection with consistent performance, even during power outages. The hydrant unit was housed in a sound attenuated enclosure, engineered to reduce noise output to 80 dB(A) at 1 metre—a critical requirement for maintaining a quiet and disruption-free campus.

To ensure long-lasting durability and aesthetic compatibility with the college’s surroundings, the enclosure was powder coated in Woodland Grey. This weather-resistant finish also protects against corrosion, making it suitable for South Australia’s varying climate conditions.

BKB Fire designed the system to meet strict compliance standards, offering maximum safety, low noise impact, and minimal maintenance. From design and fabrication through to delivery and commissioning, our team worked closely with the project stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient installation with minimal disruption to school operations.
