Project Overview
BKB Group Australia recently completed a custom-built rectangular fire water tank for a commercial plumbing project in West Footscray, Melbourne. This solution was engineered to meet stringent fire protection and water storage requirements on a compact urban site.
The water tank measures 5.15m in length, 2.35m in width, and 2.8m in height, and features an internal dividing wall that creates two isolated compartments. Each section provides an effective water storage capacity of 12.5kL, enabling efficient dual-functionality within a single compact footprint.
Fabricated in strict compliance with AS2304:2019 and all relevant Australian fire safety and water storage standards, this project demonstrates BKB Group’s commitment to delivering code-compliant, high-performance fire protection systems. The tank was powder-coated in a sleek basalt colour to ensure long-term durability and visual integration with its urban surroundings.
