Project Overview
The BKB Service division recently completed a critical pump system upgrade for a large warehouse facility located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. This project involved the replacement of a failed diesel pump controller panel with a fully compliant 2008 diesel panel, along with the installation of a dedicated jockey pump controller—ensuring improved system reliability, safety, and compliance with Australian standards.
The existing diesel panel had reached end-of-life and posed operational risks. BKB Service supplied and installed a new 2008-compliant diesel controller to restore the system to full functionality and meet current fire safety regulations. In addition to the main panel replacement, a separate jockey pump controller was integrated into the system design.
One of the key advantages of installing a standalone jockey pump controller is that it allows routine maintenance and servicing on the diesel pump to be carried out without taking the entire fire pump system offline. This significantly improves system uptime and ensures continuous fire protection availability, which is critical for industrial facilities operating around the clock.
This project is a strong example of how BKB Service delivers intelligent, future-ready solutions for the industrial sector. Our experienced technicians provided full project management—from fault diagnosis and equipment sourcing to installation, commissioning, and compliance testing.
