Project Overview
The BKB Fire division proudly delivered the Cyclone Wormald project in collaboration with Matt Harvey from Wormald, supplying two fully engineered diesel-powered hydrant pump systems for a commercial facility in Western Australia.
This project involved the design, manufacture, and delivery of two single enclosure hydrant pumpsets, each enclosed in custom-designed housings developed by BKB Group. The enclosures were powder coated in Mangrove colour to provide a durable and corrosion-resistant finish that blends with the local environment and withstands harsh conditions.
Critically, the BKB-designed enclosures were certified for Cyclone D region conditions, meeting the highest safety and structural standards for cyclone-prone areas. These diesel engine-powered hydrant systems ensure continuous operation in emergency situations, even during power outages—a key requirement for compliance in remote and cyclone-affected regions of Western Australia.
This installation is a showcase of BKB Fire’s specialised capability to deliver robust, weather-resilient fire pump solutions designed for regional risk profiles. By engineering cyclone-rated enclosures in-house, BKB ensures greater quality control, faster project turnaround, and long-term system reliability.
