Our factory capability
BKB’s large factory workshop is fully equipped and celebrated its first birthday in December 2004. Its facilities include:
- one of the most adaptable, fully instrumented dynamic pump test bays with facilities in the business, able to test any pump delivering up to 450 lps through its full range duties and plot those results for you.5- and 10-tonne rated overhead cranes that can be used separately and in tandem to lift anything we’ve seen quickly and effortlessly from any location in our workshop• portable 450-amp rated, 3 phase AC power supply to energise and test all motor drivers and intrinsically safe controllers and other devices to assure that’s done safely
- generous pumpset fabrication and component assembly areas and demarcated bays that are physically isolated from adjoining areas by the use of free-standing spark-arresting and sound-deadening barriers
- a workshop floor as clean and orderly as they come
- a workshop team of leading hands, boilermakers, fitters, welders and labourers second-to-none ready to serve your needs

Our service representatives are some of the best in the industry, all trained and expertly skilled. Continuous skills upgrading and new products service training are crucial to satisfying BKB’s customer service needs and part of every service representatives regimen at BKB. Our electricians are fully trained and experienced in electrical isolation of electrical power and alarm systems, hence eliminating the need for additional tradesmen. BKB’s excellent working relationship with its suppliers and distributors benefits every customer in some large or small way. BKB maintains a fleet of telephone-despatched service vehicles that are fully equipped with tools, safety gear and common parts and are capable of transporting any special parts and consumables that you may need. We also have the in-house capability of offering you a wide range of project documentation including CAD generated drawings, project schedules, project cost estimates and providing professional project management advice to you at no cost. BKB undertakes major turnkey project work involving containerised fire pump packages, static water storage tanks and interconnecting pipework, valving and controls / instrumentation on a negotiated lump sum priced contract basis within Australia.
